 As night fell, there were still plenty of nice cars rumbling their way through the entrance gates, joining the long rows of classic machines parked up.

There was a big line of people waiting to get some food before the movie started.

Cars were still filing in through the entrance gates as the sky grew dark.

With the sky now black, it was time for the film...

Ella's Story: 4th birthday preview.

It was Ella's 4th birthday today, she had lots of fun with a big party at Hungry Jack's with family and friends. Here are a couple of photos I took while everybody was singing 'happy birthday' to Ella, she had a great smile on her face.

With the car freshly sprayed and polished, on the 12th of August, I headed back up to Cameron's workshop to pick up the Ceffy. As I walked up the driveway, I saw it was parked outside the spray booth, looking very tidy. Just respraying and repairing those few front panels, as well as painting over the black strips on the bumpers, made a huge difference aesthetically to the car's appearance. With the gouges and mismatched panels gone, it finally just looked really nice, simple and clean, which is the look I had been wanting all along.

I was curious as to how a blue pearl was blended with the white paint, so Cameron took me into his paint storage shed and showed how the paint and pearl combination was mixed.

I was very happy with how clean the Cefiro looked after the fresh paint job. So if you need some quality paint or panel work done, give Cameron a call at Mullers Road Crash Repairs, on 8261 2328.

After chatting for a little while about cars, I handed over some cash for the work, and then stopped in at a BP to fill up the tank. I snapped a few more photos as well.

Premium wasn't cheap that day at $1.64 a litre, but after ten months of having the same tank of fuel while the Ceffy was sitting idle in the garage, I figured it didn't matter that much.

With the fuel topped up, I thought that since the weather wasn't too bad, it would be a good time for an afternoon hills run to get some nice updated photos of it, while still looking clean and polished.

Abandoned wreck

A few years ago, while driving up near Port Wakefield, I came across this abandoned wreck in the middle of nowhere. I'm not completely certain, but I think it might be an EK Holden, or at least a Holden of that era.

It was situated a little way off from a small dirt track, that went through some of the open land in the area. Combined with the open country, grey skies and hill rising in the background, the expansive scenery made the car look particularly insignificant and lonely. 

When I see random abandoned cars like this in the country, I always wonder what happened to them, and why they are there. Was this car crashed and left on the side of the road? Did someone just dump the rusty old carcass there? I guess I'll never know.

Found this photo of a ship on the Port River while going through my archives, again a photo with some dramatic clouds that look great as part of a contrasty black and white image.

Grange Beach

Just one photo I took on my birthday from Grange Jetty on Tuesday, there were some cool clouds around. The light was quite even but drab, so I felt a high contrast black and white conversion was in order.

Random Truck Photos: May 5th, 2005

These are some of the very first photos of trucks that I took with a digital SLR camera. I didn't have one myself until later in the year, but my awesome Uncle Paul lent me his Nikon D70 to use for a month or two back in 2005. The quality was a nice jump up from using a film SLR and little compact digital cameras.

These first ones are taken near the Port River.

After taking a few photos around the grain silos and wharf area, I moved on to the Wingfield BP truck stop, where there were plenty of nice rigs parked up.

I proposed to my amazing and beautiful girlfriend Sally over the weekend.
